It's been quite a week of cross-country running for Hayley Pointer of the New Forest Runners Athletic Club.
The Noadswood Under-13 girl finished runaway winner of the New Forest Schools' Championships, represented Hampshire at the South of England Inter-Counties at Bury St Edmonds and then finished fifth for her club in the Wessex League at Hurn Bridge, Christchurch.
Fellow Noadswood girl Charlotte Bates was 22nd at Christchurch, followed by NFJ clubmates Laura Marzaroli (Hardley) in 28th and Charlotte Walsh (Hardley) in 35th.
Mark Pointer marked his first race with 22nd in the under-13 boys' event, Jade Davies was 12th under-15 girl and Sarah Hackston was 10th under-17 woman.
The club now take a break until the new year when there will be a full January programme of cross-country and indoor sportshall and Gary Gray's sprint group will be competing at Cardiff's new, indoor track.
