BROTHERS Matthew and Luke Miles, representing Switzerland, were the winners of the second Davis Cup event to be held at Totally Tennis this year.
The victorious pair lost only one match throughout the whole tournament.
Following the success of the Davis Cup tournament, held in October for the A and Team squads, it was the turn of the players of B and C squads to compete following the format of the real Davis Cup competition.
Eight pairs entered, split into two boxes of four teams, with each pair playing a singles match and then teaming up for a doubles against the other countries in their box.
The players, who entered the competition with a partner, had their faces painted with the flag of the country they were representing.
In the final, Switzerland played the winners of the second box, Ashton Baylis and Matthew Gibbons, who were representing Spain.
Gibbons won his singles against Matthew Miles to become the only player to win a match against the dynamic Miles brothers.
Younger brother Luke overcame Baylis to make the score even at one match each. The brothers continued their winning streak in the deciding doubles.
Tournament organiser Shane Deacon said: "I am really pleased with how well everyone played.
"All the players were very enthusiastic and looked really good with their faces painted. I intend to run more of these tournaments in the future."
