Bashley are hoping to get a new team boss in place for the home game against Erith & Belvedere on December 15.
The signs are that the job will go to one of three men. Former Bournemouth Poppies manager Brian O'Donnell and Poole Town boss Pete Moore have both thrown their hat into the ring, but the smart money is for Barry Blankley to return to the New Forest club which controversially sacked him back in March this year.
Stand-in chairman/manager Derek Binns plans to speak to the applicants during the course of next week and said: "I shall report back to the executive committee and the intention, hopefully, is to have something in place by the weekend. Either the new man will take charge immediately or he will work alongside me."
The more pressing concern is getting second-to-bottom Bashley into winning ways on the road.
The club have picked up one point on their DML Eastern Division travels and Binns said ahead of tomorrow's trip to Rothwell Town: "I'm not sure what the problem is, but I know we have to get it sorted quickly before it becomes an issue."
Midfielder Matt Jones is fit to play after suffering concussion in Tuesday's 1-1 Trophy draw with Burnham and defender Andy Darnton, who is now off the transfer list, is having treatment for a thigh pull.
Charlie Griffin looks to have played his last game for Havant & Waterlooville.
The Woking loan striker has an ankle injury which will almost certainly rule him out of tomorrow's DML Premier Division trip to Stafford Rangers and Hawks have no plans to keep him now that his month is up.
Defenders Aaron Cook and Shaun Gale return to the squad but it looks as if Liam Daish is suspended after reaching five bookings.
Relegation-threatened Salisbury will throw Forest Green Rovers loan signing Nathan Lightbody straight into the heat of the action at home to Chelsmsford City tomorrow.
The 19-year-old is on his way back from injury, but scored twice in Whites' 4-2 friendly win at Poole Town.
"He's not quite the finished article yet, but he's a big, strong lad who gives us something extra," said assistant boss Tommy Killick.
Whites will also give a debut to ex-Newport County midfielder/striker Scott Griffin, who has signed from Clevedon Town, but Wayne Turk and Tyronne Bowers miss out through suspension.
Newport, who had also shown interest in loaning Lightbody, hope to have player-coach Guy Whittingham back by the end of the month.
The former Pompey and Sheffield Wednesday sharp-shooter is back in training after undergoing surgery on a knee problem that has kept him out since the beginning of September.
The Islanders have no game tomorrow and are next in action at home to Cambridge City on December 15.
