Fareham TOWN'S baby-faced side are growing up fast in the Jewson Wessex League.

They may be young, but they proved too strong for BAT in a 2-0 win at Cams Alders last night.

Ex-Saints Academy lad Adam Stallard bagged the first on 70 minutes and Martin Whittaker who, at 25, is one of the old men of the team, polished off with a 75th-minute penalty.

"We've got seven 18-year-olds playing, which must make us the youngest team in the country playing at a decent level of men's football," said Pratt.

"The lads had to wait a long time to score, but we were easily in control."

Cowes Sports leapfrogged BAT into 17th spot by dispensing with Christchurch 2-0 at Westwood Park.

Adam Johnson and Jay Moyce bagged a goal in each half, but the Islanders had striker Phil McDonald dismissed for a second bookable offence late on.

Bashley trialist Michael Jackson, a striker from Hampshire League outfit King's Somborne, scored in a 3-2 JWL Combination Cup win at Newport.

Unfortunately for the Foresters, their reserves went out 4-3 on aggregate.

Hampshire are without unavailable Southampton Saints duo Katie Wilding and Lynn Armstrong for tonight's Women's South West Counties Championships match against Somerset at Frome Town (7.30).

Wilding's goal power will be sorely missed since she was the hat-trick heroine when Hampshire opened their campaign with a 3-2 win over Devon at Fareham.

Manager Vanessa Raynbird selects from: Ruth Little, Charlotte Brown, Laura Oakes, Katie Poore, Jo Lockton, Becky Fry, Michelle Keehan, Una Nwajei, Beci Ingram, Emily Morrisey (all Southampton Saints), Lisa Richmond, Stacey Niven, Charley Wilson, Laura Froggatt (all Pmouth Ladies).
