EIGHT-year-old Shanice Godwin was one of the young stars at the Fareham Nomads annual age group competition, staged at the Fareham Leisure Centre.
The youngster won three out of four titles, an achievement equalled by Stewart Jepson in the boys' events.
Nine-year old Elizabeth Freemantle swept all before her claiming a clean sweep in all five events and setting new records for the 50m and 100m freestyle. Such was the standard of this age group that the first four girls all broke the previous record.
Another much improved swimmer is Jamie O'Donnell, prevented from a clean sweep by Jack Simmons, who won the breaststroke with O'Donnell claiming the 50 and 100m freestyle, butterfly, backstroke and medley titles.
One age group up, Leanne Whelan won all five of her events setting new figures for the 100m Freestyle. Not to be outdone, elder brother James clinched four out of five titles. Twelve-year-old Daniel Crook also achieved a clean sweep.
Victoria Waight also had a good competition claiming four out of five titles. Probably the strongest age group in the club is the boy's 13 year olds with Peter Hall, Graeme Holland and Nick Barber contesting the five events.
Hall came out on top with wins in the 100m backstroke, setting new figures in the heat and final of 1min 8.81sec and 1min 8sec respectively. He also lowered the medley figures to 1:12.81.
Barber broke his own record in the 100m butterfly recording 1:13.13 in the heat and 1:11.04 in the final. Holland was successful in the 100m breaststroke event.
In the 14 years' age group, Chris Walker won five events with the girls age group being dominated by Claire Wills and Crystal Maw.
Fifteen-year-old Chris Loosemore prevented Andrew Shand from completing a clean sweep by claiming the butterfly title leaving Shand to pick up the rest.
Ashley Wheatcroft did the same in the girls' section leaving Deborah Seaborn to race away with four titles. At the open level, it was William Felgate who dominated with four titles and Mark Franklin claimed the backstroke event.
Rebecca Newman and Hannah Clegg had some close races with Newman successful in the freestyle, medley and butterfly, but Clegg won her favoured 100m backstroke event.
