PARK and ride is coming to Andover in time for Christmas. Each Saturday and Sunday until Christmas a free park and ride service will be available from the council offices at Beech Hurst in Andover to the bus station in the town centre, and will return via the railway station.
The service will run every 15 minutes from 9.30am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Councillor Derrick Roach, portfolio holder for environmental issues on the council's executive, said: "Andover has excellent parking facilities which are perfectly adequate for most of the year. However, we recognise that at busy times like Christmas there is a need for some extra provision,."
Timetables are available from the Council's main reception, the Tourist Information Centre and the Guildhall.
