TOP YOUNG British tennis player Anne Keothavong continued her winning run at the $50,000 LTA Women's Tennis Challenger event at the David Lloyd Centre, Southampton, yesterday.
Keothavong, who knocked out top seed Seda Noorlander (Holland) in a first-round three-setter, cruised through to the quarter-finals with a 6-1 7-6 (7-1) win over Germany's Angelika Bachmann.
But another young Brit, Elena Baltacha, went out in her second round match to a second Dutch player, Kristie Boogert, in the LTA-organised event which offers world ranking points.
Admission is free for today's play at the centre in Frogmore Lane as well as the weekend's finals.
