Broughton 7
BROUGHTON found it all too easy to overwhelm a struggling Bishopstoke outfit that turned up with only nine players for last Saturday's Hants Division Two clash.
"They said that two other players were coming but they never showed up," informed Broughton care-taker boss Terry Dawkins. "It was an awful game, a complete waste of time.
No-one can enjoy playing in games like that, the only good thing to come out of it was that it helped to boost our goal difference."
It enabled Broughton to gain their biggest win of the season but they could have easily doubled the finally tally in a one-side game.
Ryan Boare was on target for the second game in succession with two of the goals, skipper Paul Collis also got in on the scoring act and the others came from Stuart Griffiths, Timmy Rose, Jamie Bowditch and young second-half substitute Sean Gallagher.
Leading 4-0 at the break, Broughton found it all too easy and won with plenty to spare against whipping boys Bishopstoke who are anchored at the foot of the table without a point from their 12 matches played so far this season.
With Hants Division One strugglers Hilsea already having pulled out of the county league, it would come as no surprise if Bishopstoke were to do the same.
Broughton (3-4-3): Blackmore; Collis, Maddocks, Morgan; Rose, Anderson, Palmer, Connolly; Bowditch, Boare, Stuart Grifftths. Subs: James Griffiths (for Connolly 60 mins), Wahanon (for Morgan 70 mins), Gallagher (for Palmer 80 mins).
