TROJANS Ladies' team know exactly what they want for Christmas - someone who can score goals!
Their goalless draw with Bradford summed up the first half of the Stoneham season.
Excellent in defence, but sadly lacking in front of goal.
"We've got the best defensive record, with Sarah Ellis having only been beaten five times in nine matches," said coach Louise Carter.
"But we've only managed to score nine goals all season and it could cost us promotion."
Under the eye of England coach Trish Heberle, Trojans swarmed all over the Tykes, but just couldn't score.
Bradford's Karen Wells boosted her international prospects with a string of fine saves - England colleagues Alex Danson and Steph Farmer among the Trojans players denied.
Southampton drew 2-2 at West Witney, but Romsey went down 2-1 to Yateley, despite Sally Pitkin's goal.
Romsey II go into the Christmas break on top of their division after Sara Harper's last-gasp goal clinched a 1-0 win over Fordingbridge.
