GEOFFREY Durham may not be as well known as his celebrity wife.
But thanks to his wit, charm and sleight-of-hand, he has made sure that he is not only known for being Mr Victoria Wood.
He is currently touring the country with his highly successful one-man magic show, One Man's Intrepid Journey Up His Own Sleeve, in which he reveals some of the secrets of his trade and shares his experiences as a magician with the audience.
He also performs a lot of new tricks, mingling with the audience during the interval and performing tricks under their noses.
Durham will be appearing at the Regent Centre, Christchurch on December 8, and at the Theatre Royal, Winchester, on December 15.
The magician first made a name for himself as The Great Soprendo, the outrageous Spanish conjuror, famous for his catchphrase, "say the magic words: piff, paff, pouff".
But before he made his television debut, he was plying his trade as a busker on the streets of Liverpool, swallowing razor blades and eating fire, which proved to be as hazardous as it looks.
"I had a moustache and I used to set fire to it by accident," remembers Durham.
Luckily, he has since discovered the benefits of a razor.
Tickets for both shows cost £12.
