THE big time beckons for a six-year-old girl from Basingstoke as she prepares to finish making her first movie.
School girl Sian Tucker, of Wootton St Lawrence, was selected from hundreds of hopefuls to star alongside American actress Winona Ryder in the British film Lilly and the Secret Planting.
In one of the gripping scenes, Sian is shown falling out of a bedroom window while trying to chase her pet parrot.
In reality, Sian (pictured) was left suspended in the air dangling by a couple of wires, much to the horror of her watching mother.
Sian, a pupil at Oakley Infant School, was given her very own trailer when filming.
She said: "The best bit was flying. It felt like I was really flying."
Unfortunately, filming has been put on hold until a replacement is found for leading actress Winona Ryder, who is said to be suffering from exhaustion.
The drama film is based on a woman called Lilly who has flashbacks to when she was a young girl - played by Sian.
She first caught the attention of the film's producers when they were flipping through a catalogue of children who attend Stagecoach schools all over the country.
Sian, who has attended a Stagecoach school in Basingstoke for the last three years, was invited to London for an interview and impressed the producers.
Sian's proud mother, Sharon, said: "They thought she was very grown-up and professional during the interview."
She added: "They say she's got that something in her."
But starring in a movie has not gone to Sian's head.
"Being in a film just does not seem to bother her," said Sharon.
"All she was worried about was missing school!"
Filming is expected to resume after Christmas.
