GREASE is the word at The Mayflower, Southampton, next year when the smash hit musical returns to the theatre.
The show, which sold out when it played at the venue last year, will be returning to The Mayflower for one week from May 20.
Since it opened on Broadway, the musical has been firmly established in the cultural hall of fame and has won the hearts of millions with its hit soundtrack and likeable characters.
Top songs from the musical include You're the One that I Want, Summer Nights, Born to Hand Jive, Greased Lightening, Sandy and We Go Together, many of which have become karaoke favourites for tipsy revellers the world over.
Stepping into the role of Danny Zuko, made famous by John Travolta, is South African heartthrob Craig Ubani.
As leader of the T-Birds, Zuko is the coolest boy in the school.
He doesn't go to school to learn but to flirt, smoke and generally cause mayhem. He oozes sex appeal and can have any girl he wants.
A new term begins and a new girl starts at the school - Sandy Dumbrowski (played by Haley Flaherty), who Danny had a summer romance with.
But there's a hitch. Danny is the coolest kid in the school and Sandy is the biggest square - the course of true love never runs smooth. Tickets cost £9.50-£27.50. Contact 023 8071 1811.
