Winchester is set to become a bellringing mecca next year.
In June, the cathedral will be the venue for the finals of the National Twelve-Bell Championship.
As hosts, the Winchester team is guaranteed a place among the country's campanological crme de la crme.
It's quite something to look forward to for members of the Winchester and District Bellringing League which runs over the next six months.
Already, the opening round of fixtures has produced a shock with favourites, Hursley, stumbling against Bishopstoke and Southampton University making errors to lose a close match at Winchester.
The students are certainly well-fancied this year with a distinct home advantage, their own bells being considered particularly challenging for visitors.
