Wayne Shepheard hit a hat-trick as Trojans swept to the top of Hampshire League Division 1 with a 5-2 win at Aldershot & Farnham.
The fourth successive victory took Trojans a point clear of Fleet, who surrendered their leadership after being held to a goal-less draw by Wimborne Wayfarers.
Mark Ellis and Arun got the other goals for Trojans, who had to reshape their side due to the absence of their entire midfield.
"It's given us a team selection headache, as we've got everyone available for the Southampton derby," confessed Trojans captain Campbell Williams.
Southampton went down 2-1 to Petersfield despite taking the lead through Chris Stokes, who exchanged passes with Chris Ellis before tucking his shot away at the second attempt.
But Petersfield levelled from a short corner and, 15 minutes from time, snatched the winner with a reverse stick shot.
Struggling Southampton University lost 2-1 to Weymouth and could lose their Division 1 slot to Fordingbridge, who slammed Chichester Health 8-0 with Patrick Bass notching five.
Paul O'Connell, Tom MacIldowie and Kevin Poore rounded off the scoring for the Turks, whose share second spot in Division 2 alongside Gosport, who had their work cut out by Eastleigh.
The Fleming Parkers threatened a shock result after taking the lead, only for Pete Palmer and Mike Higgins to give Steven Holyer-inspired Gosport a 2-1 win.
