ANDOVER wildlife artist Pip McGarry has provided one of his detailed paintings to aid the charity which supports a cardiac care ward where many local patients with heart problems are treated.
His tiger in the snow, captured in fine detail at Marwell Zoo, is one of three Christmas card designs being sold this year by Wessex Heartbeat in aid of the Cardiac Unit at Southampton General Hospital.
Pip McGarry is a self-taught artist, now artist-in-residence at Marwell, whose work is increasingly sought by collectors.
He also donated a painting for auction at the recent Heartbeat ball in Southampton and has given work in aid of a Heartbeat sponsored bike ride held annually in Hatherden.
