Chandler's Ford Rifle Club have got off to a winning start in the first two rounds of the Hampshire County Small-Bore Rifle Postal League
In the first round of their Division Eight campaign, Chandler's Ford beat Average by a margin of 12 points, 482-470.
Top scorers were S de ste Croix, AG Purser and C Pearce with 98, followed by JCF Oldham with 95 and C Walker with 93.
The second-round tie against University C was more evenly-contested, with Chandler's Ford winning by just one point, 471-470.
Chandler's Ford scores here were S de ste Croix 98, AG Purser 95, JCF Oldham 93, C Pearce 93, and C Walker 92.
For University C, the individuals were T Wright 97, P Mills 95, J Cross 94, M Girling 93, and R Rolfe 91.
Kingsgate B also won their first two matches.
In round one, they beat Highfield A 472-463 with J Parker leading the way with 98.
V Maroney scored 95, J Dollin 95, C Harrison 93 and H Emary 91.
For Highfield A, M Waterman shot a 95 while C Ward, D Swainson, BJ Cooke and C Sillence all scored 92.
Kingsgate then defeated Crookham A 475-471 with J Parker again top scoring with 96, but this time sharing that honour with V Maroney. H Emary and J Dollin shot 95 and C Harrison scored 93.
Highfield A were unfortunate to lose to Average in round two, going down 470.3-468.
Scores: BJ Cooke 96, M Waterman 96, C Ward 94, D Swainson 94, C Sillence 88.
University C defeated Chichester B 474-469 in their first round tie.
Scores: M Girling 97, T Wright 96, J Cross 95, P Mills 94, R Rolfe 92.
