IN the South Hants Invitation League, a storming 8-1 win over bottom club White Horse has seen Park Gate open up a 12-point lead at the top of the table.
Nearest rivals Malt & Hops won 6-3 and next Tuesday the two teams will meet in what will virtually be a title decider, unless Park Gate lose by a massive scoreline.
Ian Eames has joined Kim Osborn in the race for the fastest leg of the season. Eames hit a 29 dart leg for Malt & Hops.
Priory, having already won the Bishops Waltham Ladies' league title, have now claimed the House Champion singles title as well. Linda Martin claimed victory after beating Ann Wilds (Sam's) in the final.
But the pairs title went to Sam's as Peggy Selmes and daughter Toni Selby beat Barleycorn pair Pauline Cook and Kathy Carr 2-1.
It was the first time they had won the title. Now mother and daughter will be hoping to double it up in the league pairs and singles finals on August 23.
The team knockout will take place over the next three weeks the team culminating with the presentations on September 7.
The Bishops Waltham Men's Winter League are holding their annual meeting at the Kings Head in Wickham on Tuesday, August 21, starting at 8pm. Teams wishing to join should contact Lou Nash on 01329 833774.
New teams are invited to compete in the Bitterne Park Invitation men's league. A meeting will be held at the Bitterne Park Hotel on Monday, August 6.
The New Forest Hotel have withdrawn from the Totton & District Ladies League. Organisers hope they will return to the Winter League.
