A CONTROVERSIAL bid to build a cut-price supermarket on the edge of Fareham could still go ahead - even though planners threw it out.
German firm Lidl has lodged a second application for a store on the Speedfields Park industrial estate in Newgate Lane.
Company chiefs are currently in negotiations with council officers over the new designs - believed to feature a smaller supermarket than originally planned.
