HUNDREDS of people lined the streets of Romsey at the weekend for the town's popular carnival parade.
People of all ages donned weird and wacky outfits for the annual event on Saturday.
The glorious weather ensured a party atmosphere as the parade wound its way around Romsey's streets.
Among the groups taking part in the grand procession were the 6th Romsey Brownies, Southern Theatre Productions and Goodies Fish and Chips.
The event helped raise cash for a range of charities.
Jackie Fry, committee secretary of Romsey town carnival, said: "It was very successful. It was very colourful, very noisy and the standard was absolutely brilliant.
"The level of entrants was around 32, which is good for us. It was excellent. I was really pleased with it."
Among the hundreds of people who thronged the streets to watch the procession pass by was Andy Webb, 49, of Field Close.
He said: "I've lived in Romsey all my life and used to take part in it a lot when I was younger.
"It's always a very special event. Everyone always enjoys it."
His wife, Marian, 42, said: "It always seems to bring the whole town out for it.
"This sort of weather makes it even better."
