DONNA McPhail is NOT a television personality who has turned stand-up comedian.
Although she is best known for her stint as presenter on The Sunday Show, entertaining those struggling to recover from the previous night's debauchery, she is first and foremost a stand up comic.
Something she dearly wants audiences to realise. She said "What matters to me is that they realise that I'm a stand-up who does telly, not a presenter who's trying to do stand-up."
In fact, she has been working the circuit of clubs and festivals, plying her trade as a comedian for the last 11 years, and has even been nominated for the Perrier Award - the stand-up equivalent of an Oscar.
She has performed to critical acclaim across the globe, putting in show-stealing performances at the Melbourne Comedy Festival, Montreal Just For Laughs Festival and Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Her television credits include Reportage, StandUp, Without Walls
and Have I Got News For You.
She is a versatile comedian, who has also turned her hand to journalism as well as presenting her own radio show.
Tickets cost £11 on Friday, £13 Saturday.
