BASHLEY, in friendly action at Wimborne tomorrow, are scouring the area for a new central defender.
John Williams, released by Fleet Town, is currently on trial and manager Derek Binns is keeping close tabs on Salisbury's Lee Bradford, who is fighting back to fitness following a cruciate knee ligament operation.
Former Fulham and Salisbury defender Darren Curtis is also interested in joining the Dr Martens Eastern Division club but he is currently out injured.
Brockenhurst striker Stuart Hussey will be joining Nationwide Conference outfit Yeovil Town for three days' training next week (July 31-August 2).
The Southampton-based former Bristol City marksman signed for Brock from Lymington & New Milton earlier this summer and impressed the Glovers in a recent friendly.
Manager Chris Collinge said: "Either way we can't lose. Stuart's on contract so Yeovil would have to buy him if they're interested. If not, he'll come back a lot sharper after three days' full-time training."
Hussey was on target in Brock's 5-1 friendly win over a young Aldershot side along with Lloyd Webber (2), Phil Stone and new signing Guy Dipper from Wimborne.
Salisbury City, holders of the Wiltshire County Youth Cup, are holding trials their under-17 and under-18 sides.
Members of the South West Counties Youth League, they can be contacted through youth manager Symon Pickett on 01722 326454.
