THIS is the young burglar whom detectives are hunting in connection with a daylight raid on a home in Eastleigh's Twyford Road.
The intruder took to his heels after being disturbed by the return of the householder who discovered him in her bedroom.
He made a hurried exit - taking items of jewellery - via a patio shortly after mid-day last Friday.
Earlier, he had smashed a window beside the front door to reach locks and then ransacked rooms in the property.
Police say the victim feels that the CD-fit image bears a strong likeness to her recollection of the male she discovered in her bedroom.
A spokesman said: "There was an unusual feature the aggrieved recalls about the male's face that was difficult to replicate on the composite.
"She said that his top lip protruded a bit as if his front two teeth were rather prominent."
Anyone who can help identify the man, who is a white male in his late teens or early 20s, should contact Eastleigh police on 0845 045 4545 or the confidential and anonymous Crimestoppers number 0800 555 111.
