OOH La La! Eastleigh went Gallic for the day as 30 French traders set up stall in the town's Leigh Road shopping precinct.
The Norman invasion added a dash of colour to the Eastleigh street scene with French tricolours fluttering in the breeze and the majority of stallholders dressed in traditional costume.
A wide variety of treats from across the Channel were on sale including French sweets, leather goods, home- made jam, high fashion jewellery, biscuits, bread and cheese plus the typical French wine, garlic and onions.
French markets started with onion sellers crossing the Channel with their bicycles and the French markets have now been operating for 15 years.
So popular are they in Eastleigh that they have become an annual event.
