Fiddler on the Roof, Eastleigh Operatic and Musical Society Junior Section
WITH witty dialogue, catchy tunes and lovable characters, Fiddler on the Roof was destined to be a hit.
In the hands of these talented youngsters, the musical tale of tradition and change really raised the roof of the Colden Common Community Centre.
The audience was quickly won over by their sparkling enthusiasm, matched by their ability. All were in fine voice, both in solo performances and group pieces.
Fifteen-year-old Sam Bon-ham's performance as Tevye, the impoverished milkman, was particularly impressive. He demonstrated not only a fine voice but also impressive comic timing.
Kerry-Jayne Lilly, Stephanie Dade and Donna Rowlands, playing Tevye's three eldest daughters proved talented performers, particularly with their beautiful rendering of Matchmaker.
The fine performances were complemented with eye-catching costumes and a well-designed set.
