MATTHEW LE TISSIER is looking for a Dutch treat to keep his bandwagon rolling for the new season.

After three years wrecked by injury, the Saints star is bouncing back to form and fitness.

He has followed up last season's sensational Dell finale with two goals in the first two pre-season friendlies, and now he has set his sights on another from Sunday's glamour game at Feyenoord.

The talismanic figure admitted he was fitter than ever, and revealed that he was not one of the three Saints players fined pre-season for turning up overweight.

Next Sunday's game will be Le Tissier's biggest test yet as he looks to recapture the glory days but he is determined to keep his new-found momentum going.

He said: "It is nice to be scoring goals again. I have got a spring in my step and, touch wood, everything is going well for me.

"This is the best I have felt in pre-season for a long time. All the work I did to get fit at the end of last season is now paying off.

"We only had a short break which meant I could not put on too much weight! I kept fit by playing golf and walking the course instead of taking the buggy - and I was not one of the three players fined for reporting back overweight.

"I know that will come as a surprise to a few people who probably had me as the number one suspect, but I came back lighter than I was at the end of the season.

"Now I just hope I can stay fit and push on from here. I am long overdue double figures for goals in a season and it is lovely to be back in the groove again."
