COUNTY president Allyson Flint hit peak form to help Hampshire defeat the Isle of Wight in their annual women's association friendly at Totland, writes David Briers.

Flint triumphed 30-8 on her rink in Hampshire's 139-112 victory.

Hampshire also won their friendly against the Bournemouth and District WBA, but this was in a much different fashion because, although the county led 93-67 at 15 ends, they only scraped in 111-109 after a rousing rally by their opponents on the Pelhams green at Bournemouth.

After the Isle of Wight match, Brockenhurst bowlers Jean Lees and Doreen Risso were presented with their county badges.
