HAVANT'S dream of a trip to Lord's in the ECB Club Championship was shattered by a heavy sixth round defeat at Bath.
The reigning West of England Premier League champions piled up 221-5, Gordon Swinney hitting an unbeaten 103 and Stu Priscott 71, and then bowled Havant out for 129.
"We needed to be on top of our game if we were to win at Bath; instead we performed to 70 per cent of our potential and were beaten," reflected Havant skipper, Paul Gover.
Richard Lewis (30) and Gover (28) top scored for Havant.
