THE last round of the Reelcare Knockout Cup took place on Longbridge with Carbotech Select winning with a whacking 213lb team weight, despite less than ideal conditions with a hot windless day.
Fishing from unfancied pegs, Carbotech proved what a good team they really are putting last year's disaster behind them.
Geoff Salisbury on peg 39 took 67lb 13oz of carp and skimmers on the waggler and pellet, while S. Jackson on peg 7 took 67lb on pole and waggler with worm and pellet for a huge haul of skimmers and carp.
C. Haines on peg 37 took 42lb 10oz of carp and silver fish, with Lee Wood house on peg 42 taking 36lb 1oz. Poingdestres, second on the day, had by far the best pegs with individual winner Pete Newman taking a cracking bag of 71lb on the feeder from peg 30.
Team-mates Dave Pool on peg 21a claimed 52lb 15oz and C. Egerton 15lb 2oz.
