MUSIC filled the air on Friday evening and all day Saturday when Romsey played host to the annual Beggars Fair.
Up to 3,000 people enjoyed performances by 65 acts at numerous free events based around the Cornmarket.
Organising team member Kim Grrthuis said "Once again, we've had a hugely successful festival and it's good to see that even hailstones and rain could not dampen the support of the festival goers.
"we've already started planning for next year and we hope to have the same mixture of music acnd carnival then."
Originally a medieval celebration, the Beggars Fair has grown in size and stature to become on e of the largest independent and free folk-music and performer festivals in the south since its revival in 1993.
Visitor Rob Johnson, of Bypass Road in Romsey said: "Its always good, lively, and the show does Romsey proud. Everyone's happy and it's a very good place to meet friends."
Sergeant Paul Johnson added: "Once again we have had no problems at the festival and the whole event has been good natured as it always is.
"Though it's a pity it had to rain."
