PERSONNEL at one of the leading law firms in the south, Coffin Mew & Clover, were going BLUE today to raise funds for their three nominated charities - Canine Partners for Independence, Hampshire Autistic Society and Wessex Heartbeat.
Partners and staff at the six offices were decking themselves out in blue to see who can be the "Bluest" using their normal office wardrobe (blue being the firm's corporate colour).
Participants were asked to donate money for every item of blue clothing they are wearing - with a prize for the bluest. The Coffin Mew & Clover marketing team will be visiting each office to judge the competition.
Pauline Johnson, managing partner at Coffin Mew & Clover says: "The idea of having three dedicated charities actually came from the personnel at the firm. We asked members of staff to nominate one local charity so that we could arrange events to help raise funds for them.
"Such was the support for not just one but three charities, the firm decided to champion all three of them. This first Blue event has come about because many of our personnel enjoy the idea of dressing up for charity days. Unfortunately, because of client commitments and court appearances this is not normally possible for some.
"However, by asking them to dress from their usual office wardrobe we have been able to include everyone in this event.
"The response has been overwhelming and it looks like we should provide a welcome boost to our chosen charities funds - as well as bringing some fun into the office".
