Lymington will be without all-rounder Daniel Peacock as they seek to extend their Southern Electric Premier League Division 2 advantage at Hambledon tomorrow, 1pm.
Peacock, whose 341 runs and 20 wickets have helped spearhead Lymington's promotion drive, picked up a calf injury scoring an undefeated 176 against Old Basing last week.
Lymington, who have wracked up scores of 331-2 and 384-4 in the past fortnight, have established a tidy ten-point lead over Portsmouth, who lost to United Services last week.
The clubs meet at the Sports Ground on August 4 - when the Premier 2 title could be decided.
Hambledon will be seriously weakened by a knee injury to Simon James, who was carried off the field at Romsey last week.
Portsmouth face a tricky visit to Trojans, where they came unstuck last season.
"Our two defeats by Trojans last season probably cost us the title," reflects Portsmouth skipper Raj Maru.
But Trojans are struggling to score runs - Simon Williams describing last week's performance at Easton & Martyr Worthy as "gutless."
"Only Mario Mohammed is getting any runs for us. Last week's batting was gutless, the worst I've seen from a Trojans side in a long while.
"Make no mistake, we are going to be in trouble if the batsmen don't start to perform," he warned.
Jamie Donaldson returns from honeymoon tomorrow morning - and is set to be pitched straight into the Trojans line up.
Easton, who entertain Blackheath in the Wadworth 6X Village Championship on Sunday, 2.30, travel to Cove, with Sparsholt eager to halt a five-match losing sequence at cellar dwellers Old Basing.
