YOUNGSTERS from a Hampshire village hit just the right note when they decided to celebrate the joys of summer.
Dozens of pupils from Hamble Primary School put on a bright and cheerful performance of song, music and poems for both parents and locals.
The concert at St Andrew's Church saw the spotlight fall on talented children as young as seven, as part of the village's annual summer spectacular - Hamble Week.
Members of the school choir joined flute, trombone and clarinet-players for the 50-minute show, which included a host of songs on a summer theme.
Deputy headteacher and choir leader Belinda Drew said: "I try to get the children out to do public concerts as much as possible. It gives them confidence."
Any donations raised from the event will go towards both school and church projects.
