A 64-year-old woman who suffered 50 per cent burns in a blaze at her West End home was today still fighting for her life - although her condition had slightly improved.
Margaret Quigley suffered second degree burns following the fire which wrecked her semi-detached bungalow in Brookside Way in the early hours of Friday.
She was taken to Southampton General Hospital and later transferred to Salisbury District Hospital.
Today, a hospital spokeswoman said she was critical but stable.
