THE 64-year-old woman who suffered 50 per cent burns in a massive blaze at her West End home was today named as Maureen Quigley.
She is left fighting for her life following the fire which wrecked her semi-detached bungalow in Brookside Way in the early hours of Friday.
She was taken to Southampton General Hospital and later transferred to the burns unit at Salisbury District Hospital, where her condition today was said to be "critical".
It is believed she slept through a smoke alarm for up to an hour as the fire took hold before neighbours alerted the emergency services.
Police arrived to find her outside her home with second degree burns. Inquiries were continuing into the cause of the blaze.
