STAFF at a trendy New Forest fashion store were taken aback when they got an unexpected visit from Sir Paul McCartney.
The former Beatle popped into the Lymington store, Elliotts, with his girlfriend Heather Mills, who used to live at King's Somborne, near Romsey.
After spending about 15 minutes browsing the boutique, the couple, pictured right, made a purchase. Heather splashed out and bought herself a pair of trendy Rebecca Sanver sandals.
Staff declined to say how much the shoes cost. But one member of staff commented on Friday's visit: "They were only here for a short while but they were really pleasant people to talk to. They were both very polite and very down to earth, and after buying the shoes they just went on their way."
