Mayflower Park is set to be the south's prime venue for live music later this month, with the annual Southampton Festival of Live Music.
The event, organised by the Southampton branch of the Musicians' Union in conjunction with Southampton City Council, takes place over the weekend of July 21-22, and features music of every style, from classical to jazz and contemporary sounds.
Bands taking part on Sunday include Arcade, The Chris Walker Swingtet, Mambo Jambo, Bundell Bros and Richard Crane.
Sunday sees the likes of the Solent Stage Band and the New Gateway Jazz Band taking centre stage.
The activities in Mayflower Park will be complemented by bands playing at various venues.
Admission to the event, which starts at midday on both days, is free. For more information, check the Daily Echo.
