Broadlands Lake continues to fish exceptionally well for carp despite parts of the lake being unfishable due to the flood water from where the River Test has breached the banks above the motorway bridge.

Best fish and bag of the week fell to Adam Gage who took Half Tail the common by 27lb, the first time the fish has been out for 14 months along with mirrors of 17lb 8oz, 15lb 8oz, 14lb 8oz, 14lb, 14lb, 15lb and 16lb 8oz fishing from peg 57 to the end of the small island.

Brothers Danny and Jeff Collins enjoyed a successful day session sharing a nine-fish haul to 14lb 12oz while syndicate member Jason Denman topped a 20-fish haul with a 16lb 8oz mirror. Alan Grimshaw took a 20lb 2oz common, while Sparsholt student Ian Rooke bagged a 20lb 8oz common.

Eastleigh & District AC held a pike match on Bishop's Lake on Dave Wateridge's Walden's Farm Complex with Simon Elcock landing a succession of fish to take 41lb 11oz of predators to the scales on float-fished trout.

Rob Stack finished second with 20lb 14oz with Ben Asbury third with 19lb 1oz, which included the day's best - a 12lb 12oz pike. Best fish of the week, at 21lb, fell to Simon Matthews of Eastleigh who took a float-fished trout.

Abbots Lake produced some nice carp with Richard Head of Tisbury taking a 19lb 14oz ghost on pepperami ledgered, while Jon Begley of Salisbury took a 15lb 6oz common on worm. Monks Pool, Popes and Deacons all fished well with mixed bags to 20lb plus.

Jon Burch's Longhouse Complex has once again seen Wood Lake in good form with Pete Thomas of Deptford taking 22 carp in a 24-hour session with the best an 18lb 6oz common all taken on waggler and corn tipped with red maggot fishing to the front of the island from peg 16 over a bed of hemp and pellets.

Peter Cook from Andover took the week's best bag from Willow, landing a 63lb mixed haul consisting of carp to 3lb, perch to 1lb 12oz and roach and rudd to 12oz on pole and red maggot from peg 5.
