A HALF century from Julian Baker was the highlight of the last matches of the season in the New Forest Indoor Cricket League at the Lymington Sports Centre.
Baker hit an unbeaten 53 and with support from Andrew Curtis (28) set up Paultons' narrow one wicket victory over North Baddesley in Division 1. John Bance (40 not out) and Andrew Williams (34 not out) top scored in North Baddesley's 125-4.
In Division 3 Stuart Slade (24), Robin Butler (35 not out) and Andy Marshall (22) took Milford-on-Sea to 122-5 and, with only Geoff Plummer (20) and David Morris (23) in form, five-man Bashley 2nds were stopped at 86-3.
The season was rounded off with a match between the Chairman's team and a Select team.
The Chairman's outfit, skippered by Peter Tapper, reached 143-4 thanks to John Bance (26 not out) and Andy Parrett (24). The Select captain Neil Taylor (27 retired) led his side's reply and although Shaun Lilley made an unbeaten 34, they finished well short on 105-2.
