Hampshire Senior Cup

Andover scored twice in the last 12 minutes to clinch a place in the Hampshire Senior Cup quarter-finals with a 3-2 win over Moneyfields at the Portway Stadium.

The Lions, last season's beaten finalists, dished out a seven-goal mauling to their Jewson Wessex League opponents in midweek - but it was a different story in the cup.

Moneyfields twice swept into the lead, initially through teenager Vikram Singh (16 minutes), and later Paul Brookes (71) after Andover's Shaun Dyke had levelled from the penalty spot.

But Andover's strength told in the end, with Derek Simpson and Adie Green scoring late goals to see the JWL leaders through.

BAT's Alan Bundy and Lymington & New Milton top marksman Leigh Phillips each notched hat-tricks.

Bundy's threesome gunned down Fleet Town 3-2 after extra-time - the teams being locked 1-1 at the end of 90 minutes.

Leigh Phillips notched his hat-trick inside 11 second-half minutes as Lymington thumped Horndean 6-0 at Fawcetts Field.

Plucky Horndean held Lymington to a lone Mark Smith goal for an hour, but once the Phillips goal rush began, the floodgates opened.

Phillips sent Lymington into a 4-0 lead with goals in the 62nd, 70th and 73rd minutes. Paul Gazzard and Steve Strong completed the rout late on.

Charlie Balfe struck two spectacular goals as Eastleigh repeated their Boxing Day success with a 4-1 win over Hamble ASSC at Ten Acres.

Balfe fired Eastleigh into an early lead with a 25-yard bender and then completed the scoring seven minutes from time with another long range effort.

Inspirational Kevin Brewster increased Eastleigh's lead shortly after half-time - Hamble's Mark Allen cutting the gap before Craig McAllister added a third.

Super-sub Lamin Dibba emerged from the bench to score twice as Christchurch cancelled out Gosport Borough's interval advantage to win 3-1 at Hurn.

Jon Wallsgrove gave Gosport a deserved half-time lead, but once Neil Linpow equalized, Christchurch always looked probable winners.
