THE new year can mean a new start for many people and the Enterprise Agency in Southampton is gearing up for a particularly busy time.
Neil Hendricks, chief executive of the South West Hampshire Enterprise Agency, said: "This is the busiest time of year for us with people thinking about setting up their own business." He said many inquiries led to one-to-one meetings with experienced advisers working throughout the region and the agency also ran a series of one-day awareness workshops and start-up courses to supplement the advice.
"We are even running an evening course this year because so many inquiries for help come from those currently in full-time employment,'' he said.
"Courses are free as is the advice we can offer and once up and running businesses can also tap into our free advisory services.''
The next course starts on January 22. Call 023 8078 8088 for details.
