MAGISTRATES remanded in custody a man charged with the attempted murder of a residents' champion.
Keith Murphy, 32, a boxer, of no fixed abode, appeared at Fareham Magistrates' Court yesterday.
No application was made for bail.
Murphy is charged with the attempted murder of Christopher Hill, 39, of Arrass House, Nashe Close, Fareham, on December 22.
Mr Hill has been campaigning for improved security at the block of flats where he lives and has won the approval of his neighbours.
A pre-trial review of Murphy's case will be held at Fareham Magistrates Court on January 9.
