AN 89-year-old woman motorist has been seriously injured in an accident in the New Forest.
She was turning on to the A327 at Setley, near Lymington, yesterday when her car was in collision with an oncoming Seat Almera.
The pensioner, who has not been named, was trapped in her vehicle for 45 minutes.
She was freed by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service and taken to Southampton General Hospital, where her condition was today described as serious but stable.
The two occupants of the Almera were taken to Lymington Hospital, where they were treated for shock and whiplash.
