Now you can visit Southampton and the surrounding area without leaving your computer.
The Daily Echo has put together a special free wallpaper image for your computer's desktop.
Each month, starting today, you will be able to download from this website a super image taken from our photographic archives.
This month you can download one of the Echo's most popular pictures - Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth in Southampton taken on glass plate on September 27, 1946.
Queen Elizabeth is seen alongside Queen Mary, still in wartime colours, as she arrives in the port for the first time following the war.
We have also placed a small calendar in the corner of the picture to help you plan your appointments. For the technically minded, the image can be downloaded as a .bmp or .jpg file (bitmaps are a lot bigger than the jpegs, but the quality of the bmp is far better than the jpg)
Then all you need to do is enter your name and e-mail address, so that we can let you know about new desktop images, and select the size of image that matches your monitor's resolution - and you will have a lovely background image to look at.
