Town away in FMC

Manager Ernie Howe and team will travel to either Dulwich Hamlet or Walton and Hersham as they attempt to make it through to the quarter-finals.

Dulwich currently lie at the foot of the Ryman premier league table with just eight points and one win from 19 games.

However, earlier in the current campaign they travelled to The Camrose and left with their heads held high following a 2-2 draw.

Walton and Hersham were relegated to division one of the Ryman League back in May after finishing bottom of the table.

Despite a poor season, Walton recorded home and away wins over Basingstoke.

Town have also come unstuck against lower league opposition already this season after losing at Harlow in the FA Trophy.

The Camrose Blues were also fortunate to progress against Whyteleafe in the previous round of the FMC, coming from a goal down with five minutes left to snatch a 2-1 win.

Howe said: "This is a fixture we'll look at when it comes around, but the league has to remain our main priority.

"We would have been happy with the position we're in at the start of the season, but I'd still like to see improvements, particularly in the size of the home crowds.

"Our league position is looking healthy but there's no point sitting back with the job only half done. We need to keep getting the right results and have the top sides looking over their shoulders."

* Basingstoke's trip to Croydon on Saturday was postponed due to the whiteout that cost games across the country.

* Town's Hampshire Senior Cup game at Newport IOW has been scheduled for January 9, the fourth attempt to fulfil this fixture.
