TWO people were treated for facial burns and three others for burns after a gas heater cylinder exploded at a Hampshire country house.
Police, fire and ambulance crews attended the accident at Cruckwell House, Park Lane, Upper Swanmore, between Bishop's Waltham and Droxford.
A fire service spokesman said the heater was seized for examination on health and safety grounds. The people involved were celebrating the New Year inside the house at about 2pm yesterday. The fire service spokesman said none of the injuries was major or life threatening.
Police Inspector Shaun Moore, of Meon Valley, was sent to the scene, but no police action was necessary.
