TOTTON councillors are fighting plans to build four new homes behind existing properties at Hammonds Green.
Members of the planning and transport advisory committee expressed concern over proposals to create a new access on to Blackwater Drive.
They said the scheme amounted to an over-intensive use of the site and could also cause highway problems.
They agreed to lodge an objection to the application, which will be determined by New Forest District Council.
