PLANS to convert a cowshed near Fawley into residential accommodation have been rejected for a second time.
The Manor of Cadland applied to New Forest District Council for permission to convert the shed, which it claimed would cover the cost of repairs to an adjoining barn which is a listed building.
After the council turned the scheme down, an appeal was lodged with the Department for the Environment, Transport and the Regions (DETR). But DETR ruled that there were other ways of maintaining the listed barn and upheld the council's decision.
