POLICE were last night looking for a pensioner who went missing from a Hampshire care home in sub-zero temperatures.
Fredrick Brown, 79, left the home in Regents Park Road in Shirley, Southampton, at 6.30pm on Thursday. Despite a search by officers and the police spotter plane, there was no sign of him.
Yesterday, police dogs were called in and local residents were asked to check their gardens, garages and sheds.
Mr Brown has a distinctive appearance and is described as clean -shaven, 5ft 2in, slim, gaunt, with shoulder-length grey hair. He wore a brown overcoat, brown trousers and white shoes when he left the home saying he was going for a walk.
Anyone who thinks they may have seen Mr Brown is asked to call police on 0845 045 4545.
