David James bade his Winchester KS farewells with a two-wicket return against Winchester & District Indoor Cricket League rivals Swanmore at River Park.
James, playing his last match before jetting off to Australia for nine months, took 2-17 in a tidy three over spell to help Winchester to a four-run win.
But it was Nigel Bungay (28), Ollie Green (28) and Nick Priddle (27) who cemented Winchester's winning position at 123-4.
Andy Burford (32 not out), aided by 44 extras, pushed Swanmore to the brink of victory at 119-5.
David Waters marked his brief return from Kenya with figures of 2-22 as Sparsholt trimmed St Cross Symondians (71) by 43 runs.
Elegant Andy Heyes hit an undefeated 44 in Sparsholt's 114-5.
Old Alresford, who trail unbeaten leaders Easton & Martyr Worthy by 25 points after five rounds of matches, dusted up Tichborne Park II.
They whisked Tichborne out for 55 before cruising to a five-wicket win.
