VERY fittingly for a pub where the famous River Test flows at the bottom of the garden, an exhibition of underwater pictures has been a huge hit at The Boot in Houghton.
A regular, Martin Savage from Goodworth Clatford, introduced the work of Lancashire-based artist David Miller to the village with the result that a large number of David's pictures, (acquired by collectors in this country and abroad) have been snapped up.
A keen angler and naturalist, he is in total sympathy with his subject, travelling widely in pursuit of subjects. His river studies feature rivers in Scotland and Hampshire and English lakes.
